Lexy Knits was created in 2015, right in my cozy townhome living room in Northern Virginia, sparked by a lifelong passion for knitting and crochet.

 

My journey began when I was five, learning from my grandmother. She crocheted for friends and clients and patiently shared her craft with her curious granddaughter. She had me happily occupied for a few peaceful hours—and quiet! When my sister taught me to knit at eight, I was hooked on the magic of turning yarn into "something" special.

 

Through more than 40 years, I’ve become an enthusiastic learner and dedicated crafter, exploring techniques and discovering the unique styles of my Portuguese heritage. Today, I bring that same enthusiasm to my teaching, helping students build strong foundations in technique while finding their unique style.
